I have a Macbook pro, Late 2013, 2.4Ghz, with )s 10.9.5, can't seem to get it upgraded to new OS. If I go to App store and check for updates it doesn't give me any options to upgrade OS. What can I do?
You may need to upgrade to El Capitan as a waypoint, because the Mac App store changes at El Capitan. A leap from 10.9.5 to 10.15 in one step may not be possible.

I did tried it from that link but it would not complete the download of the InstallacOSx.dmg file.
It looked like it launched the the install process. I get the disclaimer, I agreed, it gave me the window to select install but it never went any further. When I clicked on Install it did nothing. I left it running overnight but nothing.
