defective battery

My iphone Apple 8 plus is just two years old and the left side of the screen is separating from the casing from the left side. It appears that the battery has swollen up causing this problem. Is this a big problem with most of Apple's iphones?

Battery bulging issue iphone x Hi all, i am using iphone x for past 3 and half years, yesterday suddenly the screen started coming out because of battery being bulged. Do apple give free replacement for the battery since it is a h/w issue which should not happen for a premium product like iphone.

No, but failing lithium batteries that swell happen to a small percentage with them.
