Battery bulging issue iphone x

Hi all, i am using iphone x for past 3 and half years, yesterday suddenly the screen started coming out because of battery being bulged. Do apple give free replacement for the battery since it is a h/w issue which should not happen for a premium product like iphone.

If it's out of warranty, then no. Apple buys batteries from suppliers that can potentially swell like that of any other device manufacturer. It's covered under warranty or extended warranty (AppleCare) and that's about it. Once those expire, it's the owner's responsibility if there's a malfunction, unless it's one of Apple's special repair programs.
