iPhone locked/disabled - help please!

My iPhone 7 is disabled (too many passcode guesses).

It does not show on:

Mac (Catalina update with no iTunes) in Finder

Windows 10 in Explorer

Windows 10 in iTunes

It does not charge on Mac or HP but does on wall socket.

I tried to restore, but obviously cannot because it does not show on Mac which is where I have my backup. My iPhone still shows iPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes.

I am getting desperate for a solution. I could not find anything in my searches.

Thank you for replying.

I did manage to get to the recovery mode with my iPhone showing in finder. The first time I did it, it said it was downloading and it was circling in the left column next to iPhone. The second time it said it was downloading but was not circling. Both times when it finished, my iPhone disappeared from Finder and my iPhone screen again shows Disabled, connect to iTunes.

The second link, I have no error message. Under, if you use a Mac: Connect your iOS or iPadOS device and make sure that it's unlocked and on the Home screen cannot be done because I am locked out.

I only have a Mac. The tests I did with Windows 10 was with a friends computer so checking the driver I would imagine would not help.

I tried 9 times because I remember reading someone said he kept doing the same thing and he has no idea why, but it eventually worked. Every time it ends with my iPhone disappearing from Finder and my iPhone disabled notice again.

On the 6th try it showed: The software for the iPhone was corrupted during download. Disconnect and re-connect.

Other than that, no change.

The download took a long time but my iPhone disappeared from iTunes and my screen said the same "Disabled...".

I tried to update the Apple driver but that did not show with my mobile connected. I was curious so I plugged in an iPhone SE and the drivers showed, so I updated them. After that I plugged in my iPhone 7 again and it showed "iPhone recovery mode- iTunes is preparing to restore the software on this iPhone". When that was done "Extracting software" showed.

In the end it worked! I plugged my mob into my Mac and restored from my last backup. All is as it should be :D

I hope this helps anyone who might have the same problem.
