Filling in blanks on a form
How can I fill in the blanks on a form (file) that then gets emailed? Currently I scan and print the blank form, fill in the appropriate blanks, then scan and mail the completed form.

If the form isn't a editable PDF form that you can enter the info on, you can open the form in Preview and use the Markup tools to add text to the different fields. It's tedious but will work.
Such forms are typically PDF forms. Some PDFs are created so as to allow us to fill in certain fields. Some (most) do not allow this. This is determined when the form is created and we can not change it unless we have purchased an app to do so. Those forms which allow us to fill in their fields normally do not allow us to save the form with the fields completed, so we must still print and scan as you have been doing. If you wish to edit a PDF form and then be able to save the edited version, there are several apps out there which do this, but they are not free. Adobe.com is a good place to start researching this.
Once I changed from jpeg to pdf I was able to use Preview to fill in the form.
