I can't get onto government website for taxes and info. Their tech rep says lots of people have this issue and that I should borrow a non Mac computer. I have updated to newest operating system , tried with firewall on and off, downloaded firefox and still no luck. Has anyone solved this issue?

Problems solved, I took our computer to our son's house and used his internet. It worked. I then contacted our provider SHAW internet and they admitted it is their problem and have a team trying to fix glitch in their modems.

What site is it? It is hard to say if anyone solved it without knowing what the issue is. Maybe you are running a third party app that is blocking access.
The site is the " CRA my account" . It is the Canadian gov. site. You need it for downloading info slips for doing your taxes, finding out contribution limits for tax free saving etc. They have created secure log in through many banks, I can use the login for my banking but the partnership to get into the government website just stops and won't go through.
No I am not running any Anti-virus or cleaning apps. I have tried going in through Private browser and normal, no luck either way.
