Unfortunately we let iTunes update to 12.10.4.2 for windows, apparently it made directory changes. HOW can we easily direct the app to our external drive/music files directory? (and WHY isn't their a simple button in the app to do this?)

Have you restarted your PC and external drive since noticing this issue? If not, go ahead and do that, as a restart can resolve unusual issues.
