iPhone 11 Pro max

Hi,

I would to understand how the phone is covered by Apple care.

I had recently bought the phone from US and I understand it’s international warranty but I’m in India what does limited warranty covers?

Technical, hardware issues & maybe liquid and physical damage too?

any leads would be appreciated because US authorised seller mentioned I may have to buy a protection plan in my own country India within 60 days but sellers here say limited warranty only covers small hardware issues and software glitches may not cover damage to front screen or back!

I am having hard time trusting these sellers in India are they even sharing correct information, I would rather ask an Apple professional to answer me than these.

please let me know

Regards

Mohit

You understand incorrectly, it is not an international warranty. And liquid and physical damage are not covered by the standard AppleCare one year warranty. You also will not be able to purchase AppleCare + in India for that iPhone, whether in 60 days or not.

If you need warranty service for that iPhone you will need to fly back to the United States and make a Genius Bar appointment at an Apple Store or send it to a friend or family member and have them take it in.

You stated you but it from an authorized seller, that would lead me to believe you did not buy it from an Apple Store. Be aware that if you purchased it from Best Buy and used it in the US it will be locked to that carrier and will not work with a cell provider in the US.
