Disappeared folder

No worries :)

Command to show files: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

Then Hit Enter.

Now press the Option / alt key and then right-click on the Finder icon in the dock.

Click on Relaunch.

Once you do this try search for the file again.

If no luck, do you have an estimated time frame the file was created?

(The file might have been renamed when it was removed from the trash, an d therefore not show up when you type the name in.)

You can open up FINDER -> Recents -> Click the "settings" icon -> Show search criteria -> Enter estimated date. You can add more specific search options by selecting the "+". Everything, that is on the mac, will be visible for the specific options you selected.

That's strange. Do you have a backup of the mac when the file was still accessible?

You could enter the time machine and recover the folder from there.

If you head over to your finder, and type the name of the file in - it should show up, wherever it is located. You can then select it and move it to the trash, or another location.
