There was back when the settlement was first announced and unfortunately it included a link to come here to file a claim. Apparently they must have updated it when the news of the process broke.

Yes, I believe it is from an early news article that was in a Turkish paper and on the internet where they described the settlement and gave a link to come here to learn more information. If I could find it I would nuke it.

It does, they just sort of updated the story with the fact that the judge approved the settlement and the money will be available. but the rest of the article is the same.

So your guess as to how much the individual payments will be?

There is a hearing scheduled for December 4 about the fairness of the settlement, so no payments will be made before that date. And the judge will need to issue a decision on the results of that hearing, which will most likely not be before the end of the year. And there could be appeals based on the that decision.

That hearing will be used to issue a final ruling on all of the material collected with the earlier deadlines. There cannot be an appeal. Been down this road several times with other settlements. Unless someone can present compelling evidence the attorneys fees won’t change. Those who opt not to be part of the settlement will have to file their own separate lawsuits.

Apple would prefer to issue the money this year rather than next for tax write off reasons and not split the years. That last hearing probably won’t last 10 minutes.

Its almost looks like someones making multiple accounts and spamming the crap outta this one thread.
