There is no worse app for news and information than apple news. This feels very much like the time U2 installed that "Songs of Innocence" Spyware on us. How do I uninstall this Apple News app off of my mac forever? Running MacOS Catalina 10.15.3.

The application is installed by the operating system and you can not remove for that reason. Just ignore it.
Then don't ignore it, your call. But it can't be deleted because it's part of the system.
It's MY computer, I should be able to delete whatever I want from it. Don't tell me what to do!
By all means google around and you'll find out how to disable SIP and remove the app. It'll be reinstalled the next time you update, but you can keep doing it. That said, if you think the gift of an album was spyware, I'm not sure the solution to your issues lie with your computer.
