Mac Pro and Sleep

I have a 2013 Mac Pro at my office. I have the logmein app installed on it and I was going to do some work on it from my home last night. I had tested logmein from another Mac outside my work network and it functioned fine. I set the energy savings settings on my Pro never turn off the display, I had the Prevent computer from sleeping... box checked. I did not have the put hard disks to sleep...box checked. I had wake for network access checked and power nap unchecked. I do have a screen saver on the Mac. When I left yesterday, the Mac was on and the screen up.

Later in the evening I went to access it with logmein and it was not in a state where I could access it. I even got on my network in a different way and tried to ping it, but no response. When I came in this morning, I half expected to see the screen saver still running, but the screen was blank. I assume that it was asleep... why? What step did I miss?

I did some testing... with the Mac up, I was able to see it on-line in Logmein and access it remotely. I set the preferences the same as I had the other day and let the screen saver come on. Then I tried to access it remotely and that worked. When I put it to sleep, I was unable to wake it. So, there may indeed be something in my network what was keeping that from working, but I also tried to wake one at my home and that didn't work either. Logmein show both of them asleep, but with wake-on LAN set.

However, this still doesn't answer my original question. Why did it go to sleep in the first place? from my perspective all of the settings I did should have kept it awake, but apparently it did not...and I am basing that on what I saw when trying to access it remotely from logmein. Logmein just reported that the Mac was off-line...
