No longer able to sync music to iPhone from Mac
I briefly had a free trial of Apple Music and canceled it last week. As a result, I could not open my Music app without a "This account does not have Apple Music" message repeatedly popping up, so I finally deleted and reinstalled the app. I went to re-sync my music from my Mac and was given this message:
Only problem is I don't have the option in my Settings to turn off Cloud Music Library. It just doesn't exist. Apparently, Cloud Music Library only comes with Apple Music, and I wasn't even aware I was using it until it was too late.
My music (mostly ripped from CDs) is still on my computer. I am just unable to sync it to my phone. I have re-downloaded the few iTunes purchases I had, but I would like a way to access the rest of my music.
I've seen a couple other people ask this question, but no one answered them, so I'm asking it again. Right now, it seems like a scam to keep me subscribed to a music service I don't want. Is there any way to "turn off" Cloud Music Library when I can't do it in either iTunes or iPhone settings like I'm supposed to be able to? Is my music just going to be held hostage forever now? Or will I just have to wait until I'm able to get a new phone and hope that I can avoid this issue next time?
