I have a 2019 27" iMac which I ordered with 16 Gb RAM. I recently ordered 2 x 8Gb Crucial memory sticks (Crucial CT16G4SFD8266 16 GB (DDR4, 2666). However, the suppler sent me 1 x 16 Gb Module. Given that the information in About this Mac says that it has 4 slots for 8 Gb modules would I be correct in assuming that the new modules might not work as intended? I am also concerned about using the 16 Gb with and 2 8 Gb invalidating my warranty and service cover.

As I mentioned above, it should be fine. Normally memory is installed in pairs but users have installed just one extra module without a problem.
Assuming it meets spec it should work fine and it won't void the warranty. A 2019 iMac can actually be upgraded to 128 GBs.
Thanks for the reply. I have just noticed that About this Mac - Memory says 2667 Mhz DDR4 Modules. The memory I received is DDR4 2666 SODIMm. Will that make a difference or is it not compatible?

You're welcome. The 2666 and 2667 specs are one and the same. One is rounded up and one rounded down. They are actually 2666.67 if I remember correctly.
