Appleworks 6.2.4

I had an old G4 Emac with lots of Appleworks spreadsheet and database files on it that died last fall. I was able to recover most of those files. My question is this...if I bought a G5 Mac, could I run those Appleworks files on it or would I have to pick up another G4 computer? Thanks.

apple works files need to move to one folder on 2011 intel iMac I there a way to pull all my appleworks files at one time to a folder that's on my 2011 intel iMac? I transferred them to the intel years ago when I bought the intel. If I can do this then I can transfer them to my appleworks 6 on my old mac mini and convert them to word. Then transfer the files I want back to my intel iMac. I can do this one file at a time, but that's too time consuming.
