Recover/re-use code for movie?

I have an older movie from 2009 which I redeemed the code in iTunes to add it to my library. I was still on a PC then and now am on a Mac. When I enter it in the Redeem dialog box, it says it’s already been used. I think the answer is too bad but is there any way to use this now? I am the owner of the DVD just to be clear. Thanks.

Finding BD movie codes that will work with iTunes When you buy a BD or 4K disc, it seems pot luck as to what platform the digital code can be redeemed on: Flixster, Google Play or iTunes. Is there a database or any way of finding out in advance of purchasing a disk whether it can be redeemed on iTunes?
