ummmmmm when i went to buy an iphone 11 in red at the end of the the process it told me i needed to apply for a loan?!?! i just want to pay $35 monthlyyyyy, why can’t i do that?

If you want to pay monthly, you are asking for a loan. That's the way it works. Apple doesn't carry the loan. They have a partner who carries the loan. Now, you could check with your cellular carrier who likely has a pay by the month plan for the phone model you'd like to purchase.
