My file is not being copied by itunes (from the app file sharing folder to my computer)

Literally the title is the problem.

My file in the app(Goodnotes) file sharing folder is not being copied to my computer(windows).

Can clearly see the folder and file through iTunes, but right after dragging it, the copying procedure is not even being started.

I tried this several more times, but still the same.

Wonder what the problem is. Please help!

Thank you for your kind answer.

I'm afraid the problem has not solved yet, though.

I'm using 'file sharing folder' in iTunes 'settings' to export some documents in apps (Goodnotes and Notability).

I dragged a file from the document list and dropped it on a Windows folder.

I saw the icon with a number 1 in a red-circle, but after I drop it, the exporting procedure does not even start.

There's no problem on copying files from my laptop to the iTunes file sharing folder.

Plus, for the other apps (other than Goodnotes and Notability), both export and import are available without any problem.

I tried this multiple times, turned off my laptop and iPad, but this happens repeatedly.

Please help :-(

Hello BlessedBeYourName,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that a file isn't importing to iTunes on your Windows PC as expected, and I'd like to offer some information that may help.

For this concern, I recommend taking these steps to add a file to your library: Import media from a computer to iTunes on PC

Also, the section, "Add items from other apps using the Automatically Add to iTunes folder" in the iTunes User Guide might provide some additional insight: How to add items to iTunes on PC

I hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

BlessedBeYourName,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. From my understanding, you’re unable to copy files from the GoodNotes and Notability apps using File Sharing in iTunes.

From here, I suggest making sure those two apps can share files with your computer. The section, “See which of your iOS and iPadOS apps can share files with your computer” here provides a visual guide: Use iTunes to share files between your computer and your iOS or iPadOS device
