Problems changing my login password

I have a Macbook pro running Catalina OS and want to change my login password. But when I try I get an error message "The password was not changed" "Your sysadmin may not allow you to change your password" "contact sysadmin". Except this is a personal computer. There's no sysadmin. Just me!

Try doing this from Security & Privacy > General preferences. If that doesn't work, then try the following: Change or reset the password of a macOS user account - Apple Support.
