All of my notifications for Instagram are turned on but I still never get notified.

I’ve been experiencing a problem with my notifications for Instagram. All of my notifications for the app are turned on but I still never get notified. I get notifications for all of my other apps but not Instagram for some reason. This has been going on for months now and I tried contacting Instagram but they won’t give me a response. I think it might be a problem with my phone because I receive notifications for Instagram on other devices.

I had this problem for 3 weeks when I got a new phone. Worked on my iPad and on my husbands phone for my account but when I called Apple they claimed they didn’t know if anyone else experiencing this problem and it was instagrams fault. In the end I found one advisor who told me to attach phone to computer and do a complete erase of my phone and reinstall from iTunes. After having done an erase and reinstall from iCloud which didn’t make a difference and took me all day, this time instead of erasing then reinstalling from back up I set up the phone manually. This meant having to go to the App Store and redownload all my purchased apps and logon to them all again etc and even redownload all my music and two evenings later I’m still not completely done, but I’m pleased to say I now get Instagram notifications!!

I had the same problem!!! but it SOMEHOW miraculously worked so here's exactly what i did:

deleted insta-updated to ios14

i tried right after that but it still didnt work

i used another phone where the notifications worked and i just started opening insta on that other phone.

Next day i woke up and the notifications somehow were working on my actual phone.

I have no idea if it was because of the other phone or not but that's just what happened with me.

Once I signed in to my Apple ID and opened the photos app it asked me if I wanted to download the photos from iCloud onto my phone. They all returned. Same for contacts, WhatsApp and others. As long as you back up whole phone to iCloud before you do it. So for most of phone you are essentially restoring from backup but you have to do it one app at a time instead of letting phone get on with it.

So many people have the same problem. How come still no one could give an appropriate solution?) I even reset the phone completely but It doesn't work if I put the backup back in the phone. Please I really don't want to reset my phone while not sending my back up back in just to resolve the notifications problem then spending all my time to re-download every single things one by one. There are just too much hassles!

I'm pretty sure it's a bug or something corrupted in the iOS for some reason (not Instagram because other phones works!). Please any staff from Apple look into it!

I was having the same issue with receiving the two step authentication text. I did everything I could. Finally I decided to unblock all the numbers on my phone. Those were the numbers that we get all the time that are annoying or seem like spam or something worse. I had a lot of them and it took me awhile, since you can only unblock one at the time. Guess what, it worked. I have no clue as to why I did the blocking, all I know is that all these companies need to understand is that crooks are trying to get our information one way or another and even thought Apple is doing their best to prevent this, we are the ones that have to be vigilant at all times. Thanks
