There are a lot of potential candidates out there for iWeb and iDVD. For i Web many have migrated to EverWeb which has a GUI similar to iWeb's and had drag and drop capability. If you know HTML and use it then Flux many be a goo choice. lt has both object type of creation and HTML code in the same window.

However, what I'm doing is using an external HD (actually an SSD) with High Sierra installed, to boot into and run iWeb and iDVD when needed. This is the setup I use:

With the adaptor one can get additional SSDs for other systems, i.e. beta systems, or storage. Booting from the external SSD is about 45-50 seconds. Booting into my internal SSD is 25-30 seconds. Not a big difference for occasional work with either app.

For an iDVD replacement I haven't found one yet that does effectively what I need, create slideshows from still photos. There are a lot that can crate a video DVD from movie/videos files. They aren't as versatile as iDVD but will do the job. Just go to the App Store and do a search for "video DVD".
