Music Pausing in iTunes, on Windows 10, when played thru Airport Express
I have always played my music collection - when at home - on iTunes, on my PC, using Windows 7 or earlier, thru Airport Express, which is wired to our whole-house Bose stereo system. No issues. For over a decade. Then we upgraded to a new Dell PC which uses Windows 10. Now, very randomly, the music will stop playing for a few seconds. But only when played over Airport Express (it never pauses when played on the local PC speakers). In the past, if I had Airport Express connection issues, the music would pause within iTunes. Connectivity issues are easily fixed by rebooting our Apple Router or the Airport Express. And that really hasn't happened at all lately (fingers crossed). Now, the music clearly keeps playing in iTunes, it stays connected to the Airport Express, but you just can't hear the music for a few seconds. I have read this is a Windows 10 issue (like when system updates occur behind the scenes, briefly, it might happen). As if the PC can't walk and chew gum at the same time! Which doesn't make sense because it is a top of the line Del model and otherwise does everything else way faster than my old PC (like powering on or off, or running a Windows, or iTunes update takes a minute or two - no exaggeration - when it used to take a half hour on Windows 7!) The Dell guy told us to connect our PC wirelessly thru our wifi (it is currently hard-wired). This doesn't make sense, to me, since our wifi network is pretty maxed-out with around 15-20 devices, as it is. Two more things: The pausing happens less frequently the longer the PC is on, and less often right after a Windows Update (it always looks like it is fixed then ~sigh~ then it happens again!) Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to fix this issue? It isn't that bad, usually only occurring once every hour or two (however, it happened 3X while typing this - that's what I mean by random) but still I want it to NOT HAPPEN AT ALL, because I like to play music (without interruption) while entertaining.
