Apple Maps says turn left but map says to turn right

lately I have been hearing Apple Maps saying to turn left when the map says to turn right. I have been thinking I have been going crazy over this. Till one day my my friend started to hear the same thing. For months now we both thought we were just hearing things because it would happen only periodically. Just today another friend of ours made a comment stating that the gos was saying the wrong thing. It stated to turn right when the map was showing to turn left. Has anyone else’s had this happen to them? Is there a way to correct this to keep it from happening?
