Magic mouse stuttering and lacks response with OSX Catalina

Since upgrading to OSX 10.15.x (I'm on .3 at the moment) I have been unable to use my Magic Mouse 2 for long on my MBP. It seems to start OK but after a while it stops responding properly - sometimes stuttering, sometimes the response is delayed, sometimes it simply doesn't respond. After a while it may return to normal or it may not. Often I need to turn it off and then on again, sometimes several times, to get any response.

I bought a new Magic Mouse 2 just in case it was the old one but the problem persists.

I have reset NVRAM, reinitialised Bluetooth, removed and reconnected the mouse, and generally wasted a lot of valuable time trying to solve the problem, even going as far as changing the mouse mat, just in case.

Anyone else have this problem and, preferably, a solution that doesn't involve any of the above?

So in the end I seem to have solved this issue, at least temporarily, by removing com.apple.Bluetooth.plist in /Library/Preferences, resetting the Bluetooth, resetting the SMC, and restarting. Earlier attempts to do this resulted in no change but this latest attempt seems to have solved the problem for now. Time will tell...

I've been having similar issues, using the Magic Mouse 2, with Mojave. It gets unresponsive, videos will stop and start, just by moving it (while on another page entirely), the screen will suddenly zoom 2 to 4 times the size, for no reason, requiring me to either manually click the View menu back to "actual size", it'll stop scrolling or clicking on things does nothing, etc.

I've posted about these issues before, and no one ever seems to offer up any responses, and if you look, only a couple posts in this entire category even get replied to, don't know why, but that's what's up.
