Find the "Install macOS Mojave" file in your Applications folder.

Delete the file and empty the trash.

The main cause for a damaged/corrupt download is a slow or spotty Network download speed.

You might consider making a USBinstaller after you successfully download the full installer.

If it launches automatically, Quit like an other application, and it will be sitting in your Applications folder: "Install macOS Mojave.app"

The installer was likely corrupted during download.

Go to the Applications folder, locate the Mojave Installer app, delete it, then try downloading again from Mac App Store.

Follow the advice given but also connect your mac to your router via cable rather than WiFi.

As it is an Air you will need either a USB to Ethernet cable or Thunderbolt to Ethernet cable.

When the mac is downloading do not use it for anything else, and if other devices use the

same internet connection don't se them either.
