Loss in trade in

When I sent my Mac in for a trade-in, the screen was fully functional. The only issue was the battery. They took $200 off my trade-in value because supposedly there were lines on the screen. Is there any way I can argue this blatant lie, or prove that it happened during shipping and not when I had it?
