Naming group texts

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're unable to name a group message thread, and I'd like to share some information with you.

While you can name iMessage group threads, MMS group message threads can't be named. For more info, check out the section, "Name your group conversation" here: Send a group message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for getting back with us after taking a look over that support article.  

With regard to removing yourself from a group message thread, each person in the group need to be using iMessage, and there needs to be three other people on the thread. Learn more here:

People can remove themselves from all-iMessage threads. They cannot remove themselves from mixed threads or all-SMS threads.

It would be one with both people who are using iMessage and people who are using SMS (who could still be people using iPhones).
