Lagging Ipad

Hi!

My, sort of, brand new Ipad is very hard lagging and often do not respond on touch screen when playing some games. It sometimes takes upp to 10 seconds before i can do anything. I have updated, restored my device, and have almost nothing stored on my device. My kids devices which are 3-4 old work properly, but not mine which i bought in june last year.

If you have a iPad Air3, then performance you describe is not characteristic of this model.

Please verify that you are running iPadOS 13.3.1 - or if not, update to this version:

Settings > General > About

Settings > General > Software Update

Next, you should force restart your iPad:

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, ensure you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup of your device, then attempt a full system restore of the iPad by connecting your iPad to PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac. The Restore process will reset the iPad, install a fresh copy of the latest supported version of iPadOS (at time of writing, this is iPadOS 13.3.1) and optionally restore any data from your iCloud/iTunes backup.

This will hopefully remediate and resolve any performance issues that you may be experiencing - and resolve the problem.

Whilst you should expect your iPad to work correctly, does you comparison with other devices take into account different models - or, if you’ll forgive the pun, are you comparing apples with oranges? Unless comparing like-with-like, due to differences in both specification and capability, direct comparison is perhaps a flawed approach.

Could you instead provide specific details of any Apps or actions with which you are having difficulty? This guide might assist with framing your question.

With the benefit of a greater understanding of your issue, someone may be able to provide constructive assistance.

I did compare it with my childrens ipad air 2, which are 4 year old and been used for a couple of hours every day since they were new. My Ipad air is manufactured last year and a 10 seconds lagging when playing 8 pool is not normal. I have only used it for about 40 hours.

One other app i have tried is Roblox. But it does not lag on my kids ipads. IT is something wrong. I have an old ipad 2 which never laggs like this. This is up to 10 seconds. The screen is not lagging - it is moving smooth - but i do not get Contact when pushing on the screen.
