Hi my phone all of a sudden started sending my iMessages and text with my email. I am not able to change it to my phone number. This happened randomly and by itself. This is the second time this happens. Is there any explanation to it ?
iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13
Check:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive >
You can receive iMessages to and reply from > is your phone number selected as well as your Apple ID ?
Start New Conversation from > here Only your phone number should be deleted

You mean you cannot configure:
Start New Conversation from > Only your phone number should be selected and nothing else!
The e-mail address is your Apple ID when you use iMessage.
SMS cannot be sent using Apple ID.
But before it is sent as my number and when I call or text other contacts my email appears. That would not happen before.
Even non iPhone users get my email and not a regular text with my number. Nobody in store has been able to fix or understand this.
I’ve clicked to use my phone number and it doesn’t connect to be sent with number ..
