Boot into Recovery (Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD (and the "Macintosh HD-Data" volume as well if Catalina) If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

It was in Disk Utility when I used first aid..Thanks for helping

That’s not the question. What are you doing? Why are you even running Disk Utility in the first place? What event trigger you to go down this path?

If you can tell us what is going on, at a high level, we can give you good advice on how to proceed.

If you want advice on how to run fsck with -l on a low-level raw disk device, I’m afraid you are deep into a rabbit hole from which you will not escape. We’re throwing you a line here. Grab it and we’ll pull you up. But we’re not climbing down.

You do not say what exact Mac /model /year /size /retina /touchbar is this

or

what exact macOS you are currently running?

What was your issue you had for running First Aid in the first place(?)—this may be a clue to the way forward.

You need to paint a bigger picture here.
