pause airplay music when receiving a call

I have an annoying problem I can't seem to solve. I have an iphone X and I listen to Apple music on it via Airplay to an Apple Express connected to a speaker. So it's not connected through bluetooth.

BUT when I receive a call on my phone I can't find out how to stop the music before I then answer it. I've tried all sorts but nothing seems to pause the music whilst the phone is ringing. Not even when I answer the phone.

This is terribly annoying. There must be a fix surely?

Thanks for posting. If I understand correctly, you want to know if you can pause music that's being played from your iPhone while your phone is ringing; is that right?

If you haven't already, you might try swiping up to bring up the Control Center to see if you can pause it from there: Access and customize Control Center on your iPhone and iPod touch. If that doesn't work for you, you can always send your suggestion to Apple using this link: Product Feedback

Brilliant. So simple. Because mine is an iPhone X I have to swipe down from the top right corner. But then I was able to pause the music then return to the phone answering screen and answer the call. Phew. That’s been driving me mad. Shame you can’t auto stop the music when a call comes in but this will do.thanks.
