The right and left sides of my spacebar are physically clicking down fine, but not creating a space when I type. I have blown air on the keyboard and try to clean the keys, but no dice. I can still type a space when I click the spacebar right in the center.
Any ideas of what I can do? I will be working from home for the unforeseeable future, so I'd really like to fix this ASAP.

You have definitely tried some good troubleshooting by cleaning the keyboard. Since it does seem to be a hardware issue, you can check to see if your MacBook Pro is on the list for the service program: Keyboard Service Program for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.
