Ipad Pro Screen Rotates Automatically After Unlock

Hi All,

I tried searching for this question to no avail and wondering if others have the problem. Every time I unlock my iPad pro it automatically rotates the screen the opposite direction of the way I am holding it. I could turn screen lock on permanently but that defeats the purpose entirely and I would always need to be unlocking it and relocking it which is a pain.

Wondering if others have had this same issue and if there is a fix besides just having to screen lock it all the time? Its getting annoying where every single time I use my iPad I have to rotate the device and then rotate it again to finally get it to the position I was trying to use it.

First, try a forced-restart of your iPad - as this often resolves “strange” or isolated issues:

If this doesn’t resolve the problem, the next step would be to reset all settings on your iPad:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings (be careful that you don’t erase your data)
