1st gen. Ipad pro 11-inch trade in for 2nd gen. iPad Pro 11-inch

I am attempting to purchase the new iPad Pro 11-inch release March 2020. I want to trade in my iPad Pro 11-inch (Generation 1) WiFi + Cellular, 1TB, but when I get to the payment options and click on Trade-in, the options list the 9.7-inch pro, the10.5-inch pro, and the 12.9-inch pro, but no 11-inch pro. When I click “Other”, it sends me to recycle it as if it has no trade in value whatsoever, but this machine is currently the only generation that is operating in the public (until the new generation ships), is less than a year old, and I paid Apple directly (and handsomely, I might add, as with any new machine of theirs). Why don’t I get the option to trade it in for at least some value? I’m wondering if Apple has updated the Trade-In specifications or not yet?

Also, unrelated, but why isn’t the 12.9-inch (3rd Generation) not retrieving more than $240? Thats a little crazy to me.

Michael, it is the CURRENT iPad Pro. The March 2020 is not out yet. So it is NOT old. Just saying. It should be on the trade-in site if any of the other iPads are on the site.

I appreciate your advice, and I will take that advice because you’re most likely correct about getting more for it selling it myself, but you missed the point of the thread. The original question at hand was “where is the option to sell the iPad Pro 11-inch?” It’s missing.

It is still the 2018 iPad Pro.

It is a 1-1/2 year old iPad. The 3rd gen iPad Pro came out in Oct. 2018.

If Apple's trade-in affiliate is only offering $240 U.S.D. for a 2018, 12.9 inch screen iPad Pro toward a new iPad, nothing can be done about this.

If Apple's trade-in affiliate is offering even less for the 2018, 11 inch screen model, nothing can be done about this, either.

It is what it is.

Apple's trade-in affiliate only offers my nearly 4-1/2 year old 12.9 inch screen iPad Pro $140 U.S.D. for a trade-in value.

I paid over $1000 for my 12.9 inch screen iPad Pro at the beginning of 2016.

Electronics devices depreciate faster than a used automobile.

You are better off trying to sell your 2018 iPad Pro on your own.
