I'm using an iPhone XS and have a question about opening messages (via text and iMessage).

If I get a message and want to open it through the Notification center, it does not open the message itself. It opens the overall list of all my messages.

Why? I just want to see my message, not the list of all my messages.

I don't know when it started, but I'm sure it wasn't always like this. My iPhone SE does open the message when I open it through the Notification center. So I know it's possible!

Can anyone help me?

Hello Lieszzx,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that upon opening a text message from the Notification Center, you're unable to instantly view the conversation thread. I'll be happy to help.

To help troubleshoot this behavior, I recommend to temporarily turn off, "Allow Notifications" in Settings > Notifications > Messages. From there, please restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone and turn "Allow Notifications" back on. Then, test to see if you're able to instantly open the conversation thread, when you receive a text message in Notification Center.

Kind regards.

Lieszzx,

Thanks for getting back to us and for providing that update. I recommend making sure that your iPhone XS is updated to iOS 13.3.1. This is the latest update of the iOS software. It provides software improvement, that may help resolve the behavior you're experiencing.

If you are updated to the latest version of the iOS software, I suggest contacting Apple Support to review this further. You can contact them through this link here: Contact Apple Support

Take care.
