Keyboard disappears

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! I see that your keyboard randomly disappears while you're typing up an email and I'd like to help.

Do you have any third party keyboards or stickers installed on your device? Does this only happen with your Mail app or with other apps as well?

It's possible that your keyboard can disappear if you accidentally select outside of the keyboard or press the option to exit out of the keyboard.

If it only happens with your Mail app, then I recommend that you force close the app and then re-open it before trying it again. Follow the steps from this article: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Since this issue is only happening with your Outlook mail app, I suggest that you check for any updates to the app from the App Store by following the steps from here: Update apps or use automatic downloads

You can also try deleting the app and then re-installing it: How to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If the issue persists, I recommend that you contact the developer for the Outlook mail app for further assistance.
