Delivery delays COVID-19

Hi guys,

I recently ordered a Macbook Air and headphones on the 16th of March.

The headphones have been processed and shipped but the Macbook Air hasn't even been processed yet. The original estimated delivery date was 24th/25th. The original date has now been pushed back 6-7 days. I understand that in the current climate delays are to be expected however I need the Macbook for work and uni so I was wondering if anyone knows how long shipping is actually taking at the moment?

Also for clarity, I am located in Sydney.

Thanks!

MacBook

There seems to be a lot of variability. Apple delayed my delivery date for a MBA five times. The order never got off "processing." I gave up after two months, cancelled, and looked for other ways to get it. I found the MBA at an Apple Store about an hour away and was able to pick it up two days later. It all makes no sense. It also appeared Best Buy had some inventory, so that's another possibility.

There's an Apple hotline that you can call 800–692–7753. You can even tell them to change it however, they will ask you to return the items that came before the laptop (that was included in the online store) before you can even make amendments to pick it up instore. Not sure about your adapters because they asked me to return my airpod pro if I were to change.

I just wanna share my experience, hopefully it’ll help you. I ordered macbook pro on 10th of August, and it took me 3 weeks to wait, but it finally came today which is on 1st of September. So if y’all waiting, just wait till the product is ready to ship, It’s gonna take about 3 weeks for them item to be ready to ship from the processing time, but when it’s ready to ship, you’ll literally wait 1-2days only for the item arrive at your house.

waited since I planned to purchase on August 17th and it was processing for nearly a month, didn’t even take dudction from my bank and I can’t afford to wait, nor haft to work around that constantly. I am a student. I ended up cancelling with Apple on the 8th and Ordered from Best Buy the same day, with having it prepared and shipped on the same day (I opted for the fastest shipping fee) and now it’ll be here on this Friday which is tomorrow. I may have hurt my wallet because their offer wasn’t as good as Apple’s, it was 200$ more I had to pay. But at least I wasn’t waiting around. It’s up to you really to make the decision but just note that every device they have rn is on back order. Which is why it’s taking so long. I know things are hard for everyone rn but I couldn’t wait anymore. Good luck to you though!!

I think cause of the far distance of your package it could quite a while, based on the fact your package is shipped to Australia, Sydney and apple warehouses are mainly located in the USA. I would though call Apple and see what they say. Also in the US my guess is that they fedex or your postal service could have less employees than it did before this whole COVID-19 thing.

I also ordered a package which was a week ago but has still not come yet. So I feel you.

Best of luck to you.

To everyone,

I suggest calling/chatting with apple. they were helpful about after about 40 min. (cause you know apple...) and how slooooooow they can sometimes be. But try it anyway and maybe they can help?, but just remember that eventually it will come. It could depend on where you live. I live in the U.S., but it still has not come yet, but should come around Tuesday - Thursday (4/28-4/30) after ordering on 4/13. It may be b/c I live in the U.S., but things are pretty slow here as well. So good luck, and some advice try being blunt and keep doing this, until they comply with you (like buying a car).

I've placed an order for IPAD PRO with engraving since 12 of May. it took 2 days for purchasing process but the delivery time would be longer than that. it shown on the order status that ETA was on 18 of may, after the last status check, it changed to 26 of May for ETA; and then it changed again with "Arriving soon". I went on the TNT track shipment the tracking process has been frozen for like 5 days. i called to Apple for helping me clarify the issue. they said that during Covid-19 period, the flight cancellation affected to the ETA. they had to rearrange the schedule. However, I'm really curios as how come they left customer 5 days without updated tracking process. it hasn't been updated since 13 of may and I got the updated tracking on TNT on 18 of May!!!

Same thing here, I also ordered a MacBook Pro 13in, it still hasn’t came, I thought it was gonna be here today (Sunday 13th of September) but nope. The package is supposed to come from the 10th-17th of September... maybe tomorrow for me. The best thing you could do is call Apple’s customer service, see if they can help you out. I’m also trying to get mine as soon as possible because I really need it for my classes.
