Delivery delays COVID-19

Hi guys,

I recently ordered a Macbook Air and headphones on the 16th of March.

The headphones have been processed and shipped but the Macbook Air hasn't even been processed yet. The original estimated delivery date was 24th/25th. The original date has now been pushed back 6-7 days. I understand that in the current climate delays are to be expected however I need the Macbook for work and uni so I was wondering if anyone knows how long shipping is actually taking at the moment?

Also for clarity, I am located in Sydney.

Thanks!

MacBook

Yes I have the Same thing with an iPad Pro and the Pencil I ordered it at 2 may, the Apple page said 1-3 days so I was feeling to add some engraving too since is 1-3 days thinking that a week will do it but no. First expected delivery was 15-20 and now it’s 22-27 and we are Stuck of course on processing phase of the delivery. I called the Apple Center and they told me that they have some issues and will delay.

it’s not that I am arrogant and I don’t understand that we have a crisis or something I just don’t understand why it’s stated in the site 1-3 days if they see that they are failing to deliver on time they should update their site and not let us expecting something and feel bad about calling they due to pandemic crisis. I find it super unprofessional to write 1-3 days delivery time it’s already 10 days gone and we are on no process :(

Yes this forum makes me also feel better hahaha. But the think is as I read all the Posts about that is that Apple has put the packets for shipping and the expecting arriving and the providers of shipping have a timeline with the packets and what products they have because the medicine and food and stuff like that are prioritized. So the shipment didn’t send any tracking list to Apple that’s why Apple is not updating your order status or send you an email with the tracking of your shipment.

i am looking forward for people that have received the products to give us an update

PS. Refreshing the page and nothing changing is bad let’s try not to do that hahaha ^.^

Here is my update...fedex delivered the empty box for my iMac trade in. However I did receive an email update from Apple. Since I had contacted them last week, the escalation process seemed to trigger a replacement shipment. Unfortunately the exact build is no longer available, but the next model for 2020

is expected to ship from stock. It has a slightly different processor.

They are not anticipating delays, but I should see new tracking information as soon as it is released from the warehouse.

I am glad I called and waited on hold for a human last week. The typical response I received from the AI chat after my first inquiry did not seem right and I am glad I followed up.

Hopefully it will just be a couple days if it is sourced from the US.

UK customer here.

Ordered iPad pro and pencil on 6th May, and (same as everyone else!) pencil arrived pretty quickly. Today, order status has moved from 'Processing' to 'Preparing to Ship'. Estimated delivery date has remained the same throughout - 22nd May.

So I think the iPad order had been processing 13 days in total. Hope that reassures some people that there's light at the end of the tunnel!

I placed the order on May 19 for a 12.9 iPad Pro, within three days, it’s moved through processing > preparing to ship > shipped. On May 21, I received the tracking info. On May 22, it’s at the clearing agency awaiting final release to leave China. Apple is saying it’s gonna arrive at June 4. Hopefully sooner since it seems like the shipment is going pretty fast.

Honestly, I was hoping I wasn’t the only one with delays. But it’s clearly a global issue from the virus. I ordered a new iPad Pro with the folio keyboard. The next day of my purchase (May 26, 2020) the keyboard is already shipped and arriving in just a few days. Mainly because it was in California next to my city. But the iPad still says June 9th. So, I’ll just be patient at this point. It’s not Apple’s fault for delays. And it’s not our faults to have to wait. It’s just one of those things we need to accept and work around. But still, now is the perfect time to buy technology, especially since we have so many options as consumers. So the wait will definitely be worth it.

I ordered an ipad and an apple pencil for my study purpose on 3 August 2020.The apple pencil had been shipped from singapore to malaysia on 8 August 2020. However for my ipad, the estimated delivery time is 19-27August.....which means it will take more than a week to prepare your ipad and yeah until 10 August my ipad order still stuck in the processing for past 10 days until now....

Well, when the MBA order I placed on June 19 was delayed for the FIFTH time, I gave up and canceled it. I was able to find another MBA in inventory at an Apple Store about an hour away. I picked it up this morning! Even that was delayed one day because high heat in California cancelled curbside service (due to covid) yesterday.
