Neither Canon Europe or Canon Middle East show any printer drivers for the G2411 as far back as OS X 10.8, so there will be no compatible Canon drivers for the G2411. It is still supported on Windows through Windows 10.

GutenPrint has support for the MG2400, MG2410, and MG2420 devices only. It may be that your MG2411 was a Windows-only printer model.

You are likely a candidate for a new printer. As a new purchase criterion, check that the new printer is networkable, and appears as supported in Apple's AirPrint list of printers. A networked printer that appears in AirPrint will be supported without vendor software or drivers needing to be installed, and AirPrint is inherent to the operating system — nothing optional to install.

There may be some basic support in the operating system for this printer for it to work on Mojave, as Canon has not supported it on the Mac for years (if ever), and it is not an AirPrint compatible device. You cannot assume that your present use of the printer is a forecast for future releases of macOS beyond Mojave, and the future solution was mentioned in my post.
