I've just purchased an Apple Watch 5 Cellular from John Lewis and have just realised my phone carrier (Three UK) doesn't offer an eSIM.
What are my options in terms of activating the cellular network on my Apple Watch? Will it not be possible unless I change my phone carrier to EE, Vodafone or O2?

The Apple Watch with cellular must have a cellular connection to the same carrier used by your iPhone.

Yes you are correct in the UK your carrier has to be EE,Vodaphone or O2.Because your watch uses the same number as your phone.And as you know three uk don't support the watch yet.
