Hoping someone can help me understand how this odd event has happened. I texted a picture of a car to a friend. Later, when I opened the text dialogue a message was typed in the message box but remains I sent. The message is clearly commenting on the photos I sent.

I did not type the message and no one has had physical access to my iPhone 11.

Any ideas how this could happen?

To me it seems like a dictation if not typed by you. Could be accidental pressing of microphone immediately after you sent it but saw it later....

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware, unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious softwares or unauthorised apps directly from internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.

Smart Phones neither have the intelligence nor has the hostility. Hence we need to look at our device settings and the way we synchronise our smart phones with Mac/PC/iCloud and also how careful are we in sharing our sensitive and valuable informations with friends and family members.
