My Ipod classic is frozen on ok to disconnect!

Try to hold "center button of the click wheel + Menu" -- until Apple logo appears (then release both buttons)

If your screen is black or frozen, follow these troubleshooting steps. Otherwise, make a fresh backup if you can and take it, or mail it, to Apple for testing.

After force resetting as shown above see Corrupt iPod Classic - Apple Community to check the health of the drive. What are your HDD stats?
FWIW Apple no longer provide support for an iPod classic, although it should continue to work with iTunes/Music unless there is a hardware issue.
