AppleTV reset via iTunes
Trying to reset AppleTV 3rd gen via iTunes. AppleTV does not show up when connected and in fact no mention of apple tv anywhere on my iTunes software although have updated?

Take note that the USB cable needs to support data transfer, which excludes some charging cables originally bundled with other devices.
