We have a gift card the we wanted to put towards the balance of the items in my bag and for the life of us we couldn’t figure out how to apply the gift card from the Apple Wallet to the Apple Store while using both apps (note we have an Apple Gift card, not and Apple iTunes & App Store card). I know it should be intuitive but it wasn’t.
With the stores closed are the Gift Cards in our Wallets useless?
You should be able to select the gift card when paying, by tapping your default card and then tapping again to select a different card. Keep tapping until the Gift card balance appears.

Thanks, but this is for Apps & iTunes items. I’m taking about actual Apple Store Gift Cards. The type used to by Apple products like iPads, MacBook, etc
the wallet works in the store just fine, and the physical card works online, but if you were like me and added the physical card to your wallet (during the holiday season) with the notion that you’d be able to walk into a store when the new iPads came out and order/buy one your presently out of luck. Because from everything I’ve seen & tried the Apple Store isn’t recognizing my Apple Wallet Gift Card only my Apple Cash, and Apple Credit Cards.
