Safari runs on Startup by itself

Hello,

My Safari begins to run on startup, and I do not know why? I researched the topic and found that there are no extensions in my Safari and I have not downloaded any suspicious programs. I have MacOs Catalina 10.15.3 and Macbook Pro Early 2015 13" retina. I have fixed it previously by starting in safe mode and will try again. Any help?

  1. Startup in  https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201262 to try to isolate the cause of the issue.

Select your account and login.

Test.

To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo   in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.

2. Check Login items. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/open-items-automatically-when-you-log-in-mh15189/mac

3. Check for adware.

Run the latest release of Malwarebytes for Mac to remove malware/adware, if installed on your Mac.

For instructions: Install Malwarebytes for Mac v4      Uninstall Malwarebytes for Mac

Click the “Scan Now” button. Once done, quit Malwarebytes for Mac.

Restart the computer and relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

     Scan for Malware again.

4.  If this doesn’t help:

Download EtreCheck: https://etrecheck.com/,run it and post the report here.

     Click  “Free Download” button,

Open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.

“Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.

Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy report” .

Paste the report when you reply.

If you leave Safari running when you shutdown your Mac, and you have not unchecked ☐

Reopen windows when logging back in on the Shutdown, Restart, and Logout menu items on the  menu, then any open applications will automatically relaunch on restart:

The other point of interest is what you see selected in the following screen shot from System Preferences : General panel: Check what I have selected there:
