Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you have a question about your Apple ID password and your Gmail password. I can help answer this.


Based on your description, you are asking if your Apple ID password is the same as your Gmail, or if they are separate. This is a user preference, and there would be no way for anyone else to know what you set your password as. Your Apple ID account is separate from your Gmail account, even if you are using your Gmail email address as your Apple ID email. Your Gmail account provides you access to Gmail email, etc., while your Apple ID provides you access to Apple services, such as iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes & App Store, etc.: Manage and use your Apple ID - Apple Support. Sure, you could set your password to be the same for each account, but you could have also set up a different password for each account, too.
