How to stop unwanted photos on I watch

A few days ago, photos that I did not request or want started appearing regularly on my Iwatch. I don’t want any of my photos on my Iwatch, much less this random selection. When I went to Apple Watch app, photos did not give me option of unsynching photos. Help please & thanks!

Yes, I followed one person’s suggestion to create an empty album on iPhone to sync photos with the watch app, and that cleared out those photos. But this morning, a new set of random photos showed up as “Memories” from a year ago. I didn’t choose these or want these. I just tried to delete Photos entirely from my watch, but don’t see any way to do that. I do want Photos on my phone, but not my watch. This is annoying that Apple decides to just start sending unchosen random photos without a clear way to change this action.
