MacBook Pro 15" 2017 won't restart

The other day I put my MacBook Pro (bought summer 2017) with touch bar, to charge while in sleep mode. When I picked it up, screen was black. Computer wouldn't restart after turning it off.

Now went restart, it stays black, even when pressing shift+control+option+command+power button for 10 seconds. HOWEVER, the escape light on the touch bar lights up.

Please help. Thanks!

Stay safe.

Hi,

If your Mac doesn't turn on or start up.

If it doesn't help, you'd better take your MacBook Pro to opened Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined it.

Some of them open even though the coronavirus is going around.

Thanks kaz-k. I went the through the steps for my mid 2017 MacBook Pro (no T2 chip). Same result, only the touch bar's escape ("esc") button lights up. Also if I put the power cord in, I can here the pleasant "bling" sound saying power has been connected. Apart from those two signs of life the computer acts completely dead.

See attached image below showing "ESC" light on after performing "Reset SMC" procedure.

I will try to see an authorized service provider. However, if anyone else has any advice beyond resetting SMC, that would be appreciated.

Thanks.
