Yes. And it is up to 5 computers that you can have associated to your Apple ID. The Apple ID has one password, so the password would be no different between the 2 computers.

in all of the apple environment the appleID is your "social security number" and all purchases servers and subscriptions are tied to that
so it should be used by you on all apple devices (macs, ipads, iphones, .....) and it should never be shared between users

That is typical, if not the preferred— on all your devices— if you want to sync across devices.

If you are talking about the macOS login name and password, then yes.
Every Mac I have owned has the same login name and when I change my password I put the same password on all the Macs I currently have in service (except for the company Mac, which gets its own). And on all of the Macs my account has the same UID (501 is standard for the first account created during unboxing a Mac).
