How do I stop Birthday Calendar being shared?

in ICalender I have a separate calendar set-up which I share with the dad of my children (Kids after school clubs etc) however he is also able to see all the birthdays that I have in my birthday calendar which I have not asked to be shared with him - how do I stop him from seeing these?

Thanks

Hello Leese1969,

Thank you for following up.

The instructions in the first article explain how to log in to iCloud.com from a computer to change your calendar settings: Stop sharing a calendar on iCloud.com.

The instructions in the second and third articles explain how to change those settings from an iOS device or Mac. Since you've mentioned having an iPhone and iPad, you can use the steps here: Share iCloud calendars on iPhone.

If you're still having trouble with disabling the calendar sharing, please reply with whether or not you are using Family Sharing to share calendars.

Take care.

Hello Leese1969,

Thank you for the additional information.

Do you know if this is something that has just started happening? If so, do you recall making any changes to your iPhone, iPad, or Apple ID?

Also, did you ever share an Apple ID or device?

You may want to stop sharing the calendar, then share it again to test the issue. You can find the steps under "Change a person’s access to a shared calendar" in this article: Share iCloud calendars on iPhone.

Take care.

Hi, thanks but still not resolved my problem 😕 No, I do not share my calendar via Family Sharing, I share it by clicking on relevant calendar and adding a person by sending them an invite. The Birthdays calendar when looking at the Calendar list doesn’t even have an option of sharing so really don’t understand why the kids dad sees my birthdays 🧐 just for info I add birthdays by adding them to contacts which then allows you to see them in the Birthdays calendar. Any help much appreciated - I do wonder if there is some kind of IOS issue/glitch here. Any help much appreciated.
